Pacific Drilling gets revolving credit facility from NIBC

NIBC’s Oil & Gas Services team participated in a USD 500 million revolving credit facility for Pacific Drilling, a growing offshore provider of global ultra-deepwater drilling services to the oil and gas industry.

Listed in New York with corporate offices in Houston, Texas, Pacific Drilling delivered its first drillship in 2010 and has since transformed its fleet into one of the most technologically advanced in the world. It has six ultra-deepwater drillships in operation, with two more under construction. The company has offices in Luxembourg,Brazil, Nigeria, Singapore and South Korea and clients including Chevron, Total and Petrobras.

The revolving credit facility will be used to finance the delivery payment for the Pacific Zonda, a drillship being built at the Samsung yard in Korea and scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2015 and for general corporate purposes. The Zonda can operate in 12,000 feet of water, with a maximum drilling depth of 40,000 feet.
